Every client starts with
a series of private sessions.
In
a private session, one client will work with one instructor. This will introduce them to the basic
pilates exercises on the mat and on the apparatus as well as the vocabulary and philosophy of the pilates method. It
will also allow the instructor to determine the client's strengths and weaknesses and adjust intensity and choice of exercises
accordingly. More advanced clients benefit from one-to-one work to improve precision, add new exercises to their programme
or work on a specific issue. Private sessions are 55 minutes.
Once clients have reached a suitable level of experience and can work more independently, they may
also join in the duets, tower and mat classes.
Duet: Whilst maintaining
some of the advantages of a private session, a duet will focus more on flow and result in a lively and dynamic work-out. Duets
are 55 minutes.
Tower: A mix of mat and apparatus work
using the wall unit and/or Cadillac, a tower class extends the benefits typically derived from the traditional
pilates apparatus and complements the matwork while leveraging a group dynamic. Tower classes are 50 minutes.
Mat: Combining precision and flow and with no support from equipment,
a pilates matwork class requires ou to work deeply from your core. Matwork classes are 45-50 minutes.
For best and visible results, two to three
weekly pilates work-outs are recommended. Clients will often choose a combination of privates and group classes.
The privates will provide
continued one-to-one attention whereas the group classes will provide additional weekly work-outs at a considerably reduced
cost.
